Draft Day GM
A free NFL draft game for anyone who has ever yelled at a draft pick. Pick any team and any draft from 1980 to 2025, run that team's war room at its real draft slots on the real clock, and find out how your class would have turned out, graded on what the players actually did in the NFL.
How it plays
- A blind board. Every prospect is listed by school and position, like "Clemson Defensive Lineman", with his measurables, combine results and college profile. Real names appear when the draft ends, so it's your scouting, not your memory.
- The real clock. Each pick runs on that year's official time limit. The two picks before yours play out live so you can watch the board move.
- The other teams. Every other team takes the player it really took. If you got him first, it adjusts.
- The verdict. Your picks are scored on their real NFL careers and compared with the class your team actually drafted. Matching the real draft scores exactly 50.
- The Daily. Everyone gets the same team and year each day, starting with the drafts that have the most scouting info (college stats and combine results). Your first finished Daily posts to a shared leaderboard, one entry per player, and the server scores it from your picks.
Where the data comes from
- NFL draft picks and career statistics from Pro Football Reference, via nflverse.
- NFL Combine results and season rosters from nflverse.
- College rosters and play-by-play from CollegeFootballData.com, via cfbfastR.
Combine results start in 2000, college class years in 2009 and college stats in 2015, so earlier prospects show less. Classes from 2023 on are still early in their careers, and their grades will move as those careers play out.
